Understand how to select the correct spring bars for your watches

springbar-dimensionWatch strap pins so call ‘Spring Bars’, can be classified by length (equal to lug width), diameter, straight or curved, single or double flanges. After watching this video, you will soon understand how to select the correct spring bars and using them to attach your watch to a watch strap.

Spring bars diameters and names :

  • 1.5mm – Mostly for vintage watches
  • 1.78mm – Regular spring bar diameter
  • 2.5mm – For generic Seiko replacement stainless steel bracelets
  • Curved double flange – Follow the curve of the watch case, so you can probably have more room to install
  • 2.0mm – Single Flange for buckle use
